[Freegis-list] TerraLib and TerraView updates

Dear FreeGISers:

I am addressing two earlier questions about
TerraLib made in the FreeGIS list, which
I have not had time to address earlier.

(1) English version of TerraView

There was a request for an English version
of TerraView. I should acknowledge that such
a translation is not on our immediate plans.
Taking into account that all the source code
for TerraLib and TerraView is in English, would
any FreeGISer be interested in providing such
translation? Any help would be appreciated.

(2) Interface between TerraLib and Qt

Bernhard Reiter has noticed that we use Qt for
developing TerraView's interface. He suggested that
we should keep a clear interface between Qt and 
the rest of TerraLib. Indeed we have taken great
care to keep them separate. We are also experimenting
with TerraLib interfaces with MFC and Java.

My third point is a request to the managers of the
FreeGIS website. They have elected to list TerraLib
under the "Misc/Fun" category. I would request that
TerraLib be listed in the "BaseGIS" category, which
I think it to be more appropriate.
