[Freegis-list] Any freeware to edit shapefile?

Hi there,

Let me add some information to my question.

I am a Linux user.  And I already have tried JUMP but I found it with
problem to load shapefile.  It works fine for simple shapefile, but
not for complex shapefile such as archipelago areas.

JUMP says, 

1 problem loading nagasaki.
