No problem, > Well per default there is a copyright on everythingyou see on the web. > Unless you give permission for everyone to use it. > And I did not see a text giving people permission to use the created > images. I will take care of that, since i was busy with the server and the data i spent too little attention to the text pages on the site. The output in the sense of png images you can do anything with you like... I will fix my statement on the source data copyright if you want, although we haven't decided on selling or giving away the data, i am aware that we can if we want... Personally i would prefer this data to be free as intended, but our backbone is not wide enough to simply add the downloading of this data to the map server traffic.... > Wow, AFAIK now GIS on windows was there from the beginning, when did you > start? :) If remember correctly it was 1991 when i started working on a windows viewer to browse the data from my PC-arcinfo projects, my company (delft hydraulics back then) started using the tool for displaying time series from simulation model output on maps and animating them through time, then this thing called the Map Engine came alive. Because it is dramatically faster then commercial GIS software i know of and the licensing of the software is project based, we continue to use the map engine in our projects, developing turn-key information systems. The idea of hooking up our map engine to IIS popped up a few months ago, so we added another interface DLL for this. Anyway, i will update the page monday with more explicit statement about what is free and what is not... Thanks for your feedback Bart ]
