So, I can offer some space on www.eogeo.org to host CDs.
I think we can spare a few GB, but not 10's of GB.

The machine is hosted at interland.com in Miami, it's a dedicated
host on good bandwidth. I can also offer more storage on a machine on
a 384Kbps DSL line but that's less reliable.

I have to say up front that EOGEO is not going to be completely
"pure" when it comes to Free Software. I believe in the cause and
ultimately would like to see more of it. EOGEO will advocate
Free/Open Source software for all "external" use, but will also be
open to using non-free software internally if no other alternative
presents itself. One example of this would be if a larger database
vendor offers to host several TB of data for us if we let them host
it in their proprietary DBMS. However, we would insist that the
access to the data be via open interfaces such as OGC Web Map Server.

EOGEO is actively looking for funding and resource donations and
we're in it for the long term.

Let me know if you are interested.

    Allan
