FreeGIS Contributors Interface

Hi FreeGIS Core team,

I am happy to have now 3 external test candidates for the
contributiors web interface. In fact, two of them already
used it successfully :-)

There are currently three important things to know when
using the interface:

- the changelog can only be entered on the first page,
  so acutally you should know from the beginning what
  you enter.
  Its on my list to improve that!

- When adding/removing links or classes, there is
  sometimes a race condition that the selected items
  have not been updated in the interface.
  But they have! Just do a reload - reload is a save
  operation.

- new categories: If you want to add a category to
  a entry where the category is not yet there (some strange
  programming language for example), better first add the
  category.
  If you already startet the entry change, open a second
  browser window, there add a category and press reload in
  the first one - the new category will show up for selection.


This week I also added the authors name to the changelog
entries on the main page of FreeGIS.org.


Oh, and there is yet no notification to the maintainer regarding
new contributions. This will be impemented in the future.
Currently I am in the system everyday anyway, but drop a note
here on this list if you want an entry to show up immediately.
