Subject: asc2pov - converts AAIGrid DEM data into POVray height_field image

Due to "POVray heightfield" output format missing in the execellent GDAL utilities, i've written a small Perl script which converts AAIGrid DEM data into a TGA image suitable for POVray's height_field object:

I didn't find any other script capable of doing this, so i decided to build my own. In the long run, i'll look into adding a format driver to GDAL.
