msCross is a Javascript AJAX interface to the UMN Mapserver webgis.
It was developed to be cross-browser and easy to use.
Features:

- Free Software, distributed under GPL (Open Source)
- Client side, works with any Mapserver CGI
- Cross-browser / cross-platform
- Simple use (only one javascript file, no installation is required)
- Easily customizable and extensible
- Based on AJAX (Asynchronous JavaScript and XML) technique
