Subject: GeoKettle
GeoKettle is a "spatially-enabled" version of Pentaho Data Integration (Kettle,
http://kettle.pentaho.org). Pentaho Data Integration (Kettle) is a powerful,
metadata-driven ETL (Extract, Transform and Load) tool dedicated to the aggregation
of different data sources in datawarehouses. It is part of the open source BI
(Business Intelligence) software suite designed by Pentaho (http://www.pentaho.com).
This special distribution of Kettle includes extensions which enable the use
of geospatial (GIS) data. Like Kettle, GeoKettle is released under the GNU Lesser
General Public License (LGPL). It is mainly dedicated to spatial datawarehouses
and Spatial OLAP (SOLAP) applications. GeoKettle is an open source contribution
of the GeoSOA research group (http://geosoa.scg.ulaval.ca) of the Centre for
Research in Geomatics at Laval University, Quebec City, Canada.

Hello,
thanks for this note.
I did not find any valid download of the software
(the download page says "coming soon").
As long as there is not source code available,
I can not add an entry to FreeGIS.org.

This is strange! You are the first who mentions such a problem. Are you=20
sure you are trying to download the binary and source packages from the=20
project page :

See download section at the end of the page. Both binary and source=20
packages are available.

I have found why there is a confusion. The "Downloads" link you=20
mentioned was a general download section on the website not specifically =
dedicated to the GeoKettle project. As mentioned in my previous email,=20
the links to binary and source packages are available at the end=20
(bottom) of the GeoKettle project page=20
(http://geosoa.scg.ulaval.ca/en/index.php?module=3Dpagemaster&PAGE_user_o=
p=3Dview_page&PAGE_id=3D17,=20
just before the end/bottom of the page you will find a "Download"=20
subsection). In order to avoid other persons to face the same confusion, =
I have added links in the general "Downloads" section of the website.=20
So, from now, the "coming soon" message will not appear anymore and you=20
will also find the download links for GeoKettle from this place.
