Folks, 

Another possible entry in the free data section is the Canadian "GeoGratis" 
site.  This includes various free datasets from various federal government
departments.  The licensing terms is generally free with a credit requirement.

Note, alot of the data I found was in e00 format.  Some data isn't available
online, but may be ordered for free, or cheaply.
