[Freegis-list] FreeGIS on RedHat 7.1

Hello!

I have just bought the FreeGIS 1.1 CD. I am planning to install the
tools available on this CD on my RedHat 7.1 machines. I am interested in
this CD by the source codes AND especially by the .spec files to
regenerate and update the binaries by myself.

I have a problem with Grass5 (the first one I tried) as it is packed for
the moment. Everything is put under /opt/grass and I don't have enough
place on my / directory to get the whole stuff installed. Besides, I
prefer to have things installed under /usr. I was planning to modify the
.spec file, replacing prefix=/opt/grass by prefix=/usr, but I discovered
the existence of the following directories:

%dir /opt/grass/grass5
%dir /opt/grass/grass5/bin
%dir /opt/grass/grass5/documents
%dir /opt/grass/grass5/documents/html
%dir /opt/grass/grass5/driver
%dir /opt/grass/grass5/etc
%dir /opt/grass/grass5/etc/bin
%dir /opt/grass/grass5/etc/bin/cmd
%dir /opt/grass/grass5/man
%dir /opt/grass/grass5/man/man1
%dir /opt/grass/grass5/tcltkgrass
%dir /opt/grass/grass5/tcltkgrass/module

I think that to stick to the RedHat 7.1 structure some of these
directories should be moved around (man, bin? etc?...). Unfortunately, I
don't really know how they are interacting with each others and how I
could with the ./configure options, get something clean and usable. I
tried --with-fssntd=redhat but it did not work.

Could you please help me and tell me what these directories countain,
where they would be stored on a RedHat machine and how ./configure
should be parametrized in this spirit.
