[Freegis-list] Software to handle georeferenced video

I'm looking for software to allow viewing georeferenced video clips in
a context of other georeferenced (ie GIS) data.
Has anyone got any pointers?
The context is pulling together remote sense and ground truth data for
middle depth ocean work (50m-1500m depth). We have a towed video camera
system that records video just above the bottom. The system includes
one second georeferencing of the camera.
We need to compare the video with other data, such as acoustic
(echosounder) data, for the same location.
I suspect there's not much out there and I'm thinking I'll have to
develop something myself, probably using Java's JMF.
I'd appreciate any pointers to anything useful.
I'm not subscribed to freegis-list, so copies to me would be
appreciated.
Regards
Gordon
