| 	Major funding boost

| 	GeoTools founder, James Macgill, is now employed for the
| 	first time to maintain and develop the GeoTools library on a full
| 	time basis.
 
| 	The funding comes from a major project supported by the New
| 	Opportunities Fund, to create a web-based, interactive, historical
| 	GIS of Britain in collaboration with the University of Portsmouth
| 	and the British Library.


| 	GeoTools gets organised
 
 		A new project manager will help.
 
| 	GeoTools goes international
 		
 		First spanish translation of documentation.
