[Freegis-list] digitiser freeware

Hi there, does any body know of free software that will link into a
CALCOMP digitiser tablet allowing easy digitising of maps

I am currently using MapInfo but the licence fee becomes extortionate
for large projects.

All results will need to be convertible into MapInfo .Tab files
