I would love to see a FreeGIS track at LSM, but time is short and I
don't know whether we can find a number of talks to form a nice
session.

The FreeGIS-Team probably could provide a chair and 1 or 2 presentations
(potential topics: FreeGIS/MapServer/GRASS/Free GIS Development
Perspectives/Free GIS as Commercial Service) if a session could be filled
with enough presentations.

Are there any people out there who are interested in presenting certain
Free GIS Software at the LSM (or at other opportunities in Europe where we
might be able to form a FreeGIS track)?
