Can anyone suggest me which is the best Standard industrial Vector Map file
format for GIS systems on a PDA ?

As a side note I'm continously wondering what people think about the
patent problematic regarding SVG. For me that makes SVG less attractive
than other vector formats, though the situation is not entirely
clear to me.
