Hi all,

I thought that you may be interested to know that SRI International has just
released the full source code to their TerraVision system under the Mozilla
Public License. TerraVision is SRI's real-time multi-threaded 3D terrain
visualization system (www.tvgeo.com). It can browse massive terrain and other
data sets that are streamed over the Web. It also supports overlaying rich 3D
models (VRML and GeoVRML) on the terrain to represent buildings, icons, etc.
It is the result of 10 years of constant development and evolution.

The TerraVision source code is hosted on the SourceForge website at:

  https://sourceforge.net/projects/terravision

SRI had previously released a large part of the TerraVision system, the
tsmApi library (www.tsmApi.com), as open source. We hope that this current
step will benefit the visualization and GIS communities and provide
TerraVision users, old and new, with greater control over the evolution of
the full system.

Cheers,

Martin.
