[Freegis-list] Web mapping problem

 hi all
 I was told to find a solution about contructing a Web Mapping application.
I
 don't know much about web mapping, and i need some tips.

 First of all, the Web Server we are using is the Microsoft Internet
 Information Server. I do program in Visual Basic too.

 I have seen all sources available within FreeGis but i'm still confused.
 What Map Server can i use compatible with IIS?

 Can some one tell me a good start point for web mapping (a tutorial, a
 course, etc)?
