Sorry if this is off topic.

My colleagues is working on CAD to create GIS data.  Because of their 
skills, I would like them to use AutoCAD, although the data will be 
exported later to our GIS.  The problem is, AutoCAD does not seem to 
have any function to link the graphical data to tabular data (Correct me 
if I am wrong).  But a quick look at DXF format seems itis able to have 
ID at least, or even the attributes.

Could anyone please give me any advice how you can add such data into DXF?
