Thanks for the feedback. Your remark is non-technical but still important.
I changed the license when another developer who has been helping
me requested it. He agreed to give credit and provide references
to my web site, which I find sufficient.
I am aware that the MIT/X11 license does not mandate distribution
of the source code with derived products. That is ok with me,
because I would rather have subsequent users come to my web site
and download the latest version.
I have also considered using the
BSD license, which just requires distribution with the developers
names. My main concern is receiving credit and making it possible
for users to contact me with feedback and contributions.
Thank you for the comments. I still find it difficult to choose a
license. The discussions on your list are often useful.
