Good question - how to find out? I only downloaded the file from NIMA
and tried to use it. Well, after some tricks it works now, enjoy the new
mapserver:

Yes, you have to rename all files with trailing period (delete this period).
Only then the OGR/OGDI driver works...

Then I have the impression that the OGR/OGDI driver does not work over NFS.
