[Freegis-list] Free WMS Clients?

Are there any free OGC WMS clients out there? I'm looking for
something very lightweight that might be adapted/ported to
javascript. I.e. something that would be suitable for embedding in a
web page. Basic navigation, zoom, pan. One projection is enough
(i.e. "epsg:4326").
