[Freegis-list] waypoints

Hi,
I've to download some waypoints from GPS (garmin) to Grass. in this programs 
there is a software (gpstrans) that automatically makes this operation and 
downloads the points in UTM. I live in Italy, so I've to traslate the wpts 
from UTM to Gauss Boaga. Is there a method to traslate directly in GB instead 
of using a spreadsheet? Can i set the GPS to do this?
