Greetings,

I have the need for a US zip code and city geocode database.  What I need
to be able to do is get a Lat/Lon via city, state or zip.  I was thinking
of parsing the Tiger data files which I estimate to be about a solid weeks
worth of work.  I was kinda hoping someone has already done something
similar already.  I would love to get a database with state, county, and
city table with gecodes to their geographic center.  I understand that ZIP
codes are not nesc. polygons but a query could return the lat-lon for the
geographic center of the postal delivery points within the code, right?

Does this make sense?   Does anybody have or have heard of something like
this?  Any help would be great.
