[Freegis-list] BIL format

Hi guys,

I am writing my own terrain rendering engine in C/Linux.  But I need
some helps in reading the BIL or GeoTiff format. I found it a
formidable task to tackle this problem  from scratch.  I wonder if
there is any existing open source readers for these formats that I can
use?

Any suggestions?
