[Freegis-list] Where ho get geodata 4 Germany

Hello list,
i'm pretty new in working with gis.
i installed the FGS-Package from maptools.org and it is working pretty 
good.
but now i need the maps of my city ( leipzig/germany ).
Now my question: does  anybody  have a hind  where to get (open-source) 
maps for free ?
I'm part of the Freifunk in Leipzig ( http://leipzig.freifunk.net ), and 
want to create a map  where all our hot-spots and the network between is 
shown.
