the question was: why are some postings delayed for several days?

The answer is:
Some of the list members use a different From-Address than they
have subscribed with. Such postings are hold for moderation.
You do get a notification on this fact.
Currently I am the only active moderator, so it may take some days
upto weeks (when I am on holiday) until I can approve such a posting.
