A possibility which would necessitate quite some programming manpower
is to rewrite GRASS display and editing modules (which are the ones
you are trying to distribute over several interlocked displays) using
a toolkit such as Ubit over X11
(http://www.infres.enst.fr/~elc/ubit/). You use an X11 server on each
of your tablets and the main table display, and the central
application deals with distributing display and also (and that is the
tricky part, AFAICT) distributes input events from each device.
I'd say you would need to rewrite at least xganim, nviz and build some
client-server driver for the rest of display capabilities. A very nice
project, BTW.
Keep in mind that GRASS is not your typical interactive application,
but a collection of modules that interact with a central datastore.
Display and edit are only some of its capabilities.
Cheers,
Daniel.
