[Mapit] MapIt! 0.6 released

Dear all,

we have finished work on revision 0.6.
It is now available from our ftp server.
The web pages are slightly updated as well.

Changes from 0.5 to 0.6 primarily address documentation
and installation. So if you have already 
MapIt! running, there is no immediate need to update.

For the next release we plan to further improve
installation, but also slightly extend MapIt!.

One further feature will be a configurable icon
and/or text that will always be  printed into one
corner of the map. The main purpose of this
is to 'burn' in a copyright notice on the map
which is required for some data such
as from Teleatlas.

Any comments are welcome!
