You can put in the list or me as interims translator,
because of course I do speak German. ;)
The German text actually is the original one
done by Dirk Melcher and Andreas Beyer made the English translation later.

Diff usage looks fine to me.

It sometimes takes a while until I have time to visit changes.
At Intevation we want to set up a new platform for projects like
this based on Gforge, then contributions will even be easier.

Makefiles have build in rules for c files,
but this denies the dependencies, so it better shall be in.
