I have to solve some dependency problems to install
Skencil, before trying to re-writte the doc/Makefile.
But, if you prefer, you can change the Makefile and
the manual-en.tex as necessary now.

Sure! You can remove the pdf files from the CVS and put
them in another place. The new infrastructure for
Statist is very promising! Will it have space for
forums in laguages other than English? Some users
might want to contribute comments, bug reports, or
usage tips, but not be confortable writting in
English.
