Oh, sorry.  That's my fault.  I didn't mean to include this in the
patch when I committed it.  I've reduced the list to JPEG and BMP
now, with the longer list only in my local copy.

I can send you a patch that lets you call it, but it's too dirty
for discussion, I guess.  I planned to start discussing this for
a real solution later (i.e. end of the week / next week).
