svgexport 1.0.0!

Since this won't be done for 1.0.1 (maybe 1.0.2): How usable is the
svgexport version in thuban-1-0-branch?  The last change there was on
2004-02-20.  Should that be included in 1.0.1?  If it should be
included, should we encourage users to actually use it?
