[bug #3149] (thuban) variable points implementation not finished yet

Subject: variable points implementation not finished yet

There are some things still missing in the implementation of variable point sizes:

1. the size is not saved in the .thuban files in some cases.  It happens at
least for the iceland_sample_raster.thuban file when one modifies the size of
the points in the default classification of the cultural_landmark-point layer.

2. the size is not honored when hightlighting selected points.
