Okay, I though you could apply for them which would need authorisation,

No, though for the long run we could think about moving it into its own
repostory then. On the other hand, we would produce a homepage
for pyshapelib on thuban.wald.intevation.org/pyshapelib right now
within the thuban project on wald, if you prefer this.
Would be less overhead.
