Thuban 1.2.1 on OS X ?

Hi,

Is Thuban 1.2.1 expected to work on OSX? I believe I have all the  
essential software installed, and built apparantly successfully with  
the following runes:

PATH=/usr/bin:/usr/sbin:/bin:/sbin CFLAGS=-I/sw/include LDFLAGS=-L/sw/ 
lib python setup.py build
and then
PATH=/usr/bin:/usr/sbin:/bin:/sbin CFLAGS=-I/sw/include LDFLAGS=-L/sw/ 
lib python setup.py install_local

But running thuban.py then fails thus:
17:24:21: Debug: ../src/common/stdpbase.cpp(51): assert "traits"  
failed in Get(): create wxApp before calling this

create wxApp before calling this

Is this a known issue?
