Hi Didrik,

Thanks for the feedback.  That was a typo while composing the e-mail ...

Anyway, I've found the solution by now ...  Apparently, TortoiseSVN 
doesn't want to play nice with Putty.  The solution was to ditch putty: 
http://tortoisesvn.net/node/192
