pyshapelib for Python 3.x

Hi guys,

An former colleague asked me if pyshapelib could be compiled for Python 3.2.
Not surprisingly, it turned out not to be the case.

I want to take the task on me to port the C code, keeping it compatible 
over a whole range of Pythons (2.6, 2.7, 3.0, 3.1, 3.2), 32-bit and 64-bit.
Of course, that'll require some more macros and #ifdefs.  Does that 
sound OK?

I'm wondering about versioning though.
Would this become pyshapelib 1.1 or 1.0.1.
