[Thuban-list] thuban going for i18n

Hi,

I just checked in some preparations for support of i18n.

All developers: please now use _('...') to specifiy
your UI strings. You can import it from Thuban directly.

_() currently is just returning its argument, but now
the gettext functionality can easily be integrated.
