I believe that it's a good idea as long as the new list be a
lowest-traffic list, so the people who subscribe to that list, don't
get flooded (even in terms of thuban-list at ..)

When you create such a list, please document its charter as well, so
that people know what kinds of announcements they'll have to expect.
