[Freegis-list] caching source copies

Hello everyone,

I wondered if there is a way to cache one copy of free gis software sources as
they are released to gpl to prevent what happened with the NCAR software
recently. Once software is freed, it cannot be locked-up again unless no one
has got a copy. 

I don't personally have time to do this, and wondered if the web site folks, as
they add an item could also cache a source copy. I figure you must be
collecting the software for distribution on your cd's so do you also
must automatically keep a copy, no?

Anyhow, thanks for all the work. I hope soon to take on a more active role in
this area. (The phD thesis has a way of taking up a lot of time, not quite sure
why. :-) )
