[Freegis-list] Moving Map software

Going off on another of my many little projects - this time a personal one
- I was wonding if there is any moving map software (This the correct
term?) in the free software world?  By moving map I mean something like
the Consumer GPS units use.  The location/coordinates from the GPS unit
are used to keep the displayed map centered around then.
