[Freegis-list] Going opensource...

Hi all,

I've been developing the freeware inovaGIS library of COM objects for a 
while in Borland Delphi (Object Pascal)
After a few versions the new version 3 has reached a stable ground and with 
the development of Delphi for
Linux I was thinking about going opensource, however all the projects I see 
out there are in C or C++ ...
Do I have to wait for the development of Delphi for Linux or can I start 
now with the windows version that in fact uses
borland proprietary code ?

So my real question is can Delphi code be applied to your rules of opensource?
