[Freegis-list] Free E00 to Shapefile

I'm looking for a free tool to convert the .E00 format to a Shapefile format
for using it in MapServer. I know GRASS has the ability to import E00 and
export Shapefiles, but as of yet, I do not understand enough about how to
use GRASS to do this successfully.

Is there some simple, free tool out there to convert E00 to Shapefiles? Or a
good description of how to do it using GRASS? I'm using all free tools at
this point, so I don't have access to any ESRI software.
