The GSHSS data are global shorelines.

Political boundaries are available from UNEP:
http://www.grid.unep.ch/data/grid/downloads/boundaries.php

DEM data are partially available from ASTER satellite at 30m
resolution, but you will have to filter them first. Also
the geocoding of the "relative ASTER DEM"s is not very
precise.
