[Freegis-list] Searching for free data gis

Hi all!
I have found some web site where i can download some free data gis,
but the data are'nt good for me.
I'm searching of some vectorial and raster data of the same land.
I need the reference system in meters (some like UTM or, better for
me, Gaus-Boaga).
The data must be in ESRI Shp and TIFF+TFW
For now i have found a good resource to 
http://www.webgis.com
but .. there are'nt a good tiff file (in need only a picture of
a city).

Some idea?
