are you going to be looking into changing ProjectRasterFile to return a
wxImage? i've been taking a look at the code and i think i can make the
necessary changes. i'll try to give it more work this weekend if i get a
chance. i don't think it should be *too* difficult -- i did it once
before to get BMP support :) i agree that these changes would improve
the speed dramatically. also, with the patch that i've been passing
around, things are much better when the original image doesn't cover the
whole window.
