Yes, but 1.0.1 is in a different branch.  The tests in
test_load_1_0_1.py do not match the file format used by 1.0.1 which is
exactly the same as 1.0.0.  The 1.0 branch is a stable branch where the
file format will not change anymore. 

In HEAD the file format has already changed and test_load.py has already
been copied.
