By "nothing happens" you mean that you don't even get a window, I guess.

For the Thuban Windows binary you need some additional software, which
unfortunately is not yet mentioned on the web-pages.

You need Python 1.5.2 and wxPython 2.3.1 for Python 1.5.2. Newer
versions of wxPython may also work, but I haven't tested that. For newer
Python versions you'd have to recompile some parts of Thuban.
