[Freegis-list] Vectorising software

Hi all,

for those being interested:

There is a (old fashioned) vectorising software
available with ugly interface but good algorithm:

LTPlus

www.ltplus.org

I have been in contact with David Mandel about the future of
LTPlus without clear results. Then I tried to convince AverStar 
to publish their LT4X without success.

But there is little hope:
A modified (slightly updated) version, which can be compiled
on Linux, is available from:

http://www.geog.uni-hannover.de/grass/projects/ltplus/

The page is currently unmaintained and waiting for volunteers.
I got permission from NRCS to distribute this version
(http://www.itc.nrcs.usda.gov/).
