I am not familiar with MapInfo and don't know about MapInfo
workspaces. However, MapIt! serves only raster maps and
points of interest in a very efficient way.
It is not intended to make it a full-blown
web mapping application. So if you are looking for a
powerful vector-based web mapping application you
should have a look at the Free Software product MapServer
(see on freegis.org for the link).
If you would like to link MapIt! to the raster map database
of MapInfo: this is of course possible but needs work
on the MapIt! side to access the MapInfo DB (would be an interesting
project). The same is true for the points of interest.
BTW, MapIt! is Free Software, so if you like to try this
extension on your own we would be happy to support you.
Cheers and a happy new millenium
